Steel Ball

About Artist

This still life painting oozes with contemporaneous feel. The random selection of elements in the portrait is very surprising. The seashells actually blended well with the steel ball. This is not something you see everyday (or maybe if you went to a contemporary museum). The whole painting seems simple and pretty basic in first glance. But, if you look closely, it actually is pretty intricate and did not skimp out on details at all. The best thing about it is that it seems to suggest gender neutrality. It has both feminine and masculine components which complements each other perfectly well. Both men and women alike appreciate the painting and consider it a interesting piece to add in a modern home.
